Our Staff

Mac Fulcher, Pastor

Rev. Mac Fulcher has been serving in the Alabama West Florida Conference for twenty-two years.  After spending ten years in retail, he attended Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama.  After graduation he went to Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky where he graduated in 1986 with a Masters in Divinity.  He also attended Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California where he did some Doctoral studies.
 
Mac has been very involved throughout the conference and has served on the local Board of Ordained Ministry, the District Superintendents Committee, Building and Locations, the Blue Lake Emmaus Board and more.  Mac is presently leading a group that is taking the Emmaus Walk to Russia. 
 
Mac has been married to Beckie (Weldon) Fulcher for thirty-six years and they have three children and six grandchildren.  Beckie is a graduate of Asbury College and is teaching reading at Port St. Joe High School.  Their oldest child, Rachael Bedell, lives in Gulf Breeze, Florida with her husband David and three daughters.  Their second child, Mac Fulcher, lives in Birmingham, Alabama.  After spending three years in Cario, Egypt, he worked at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in missions.  He is now preparing to be a part of a team to return as a missionary to Muslims.  Their youngest child, Micah, is married to Jessica and they live in Birmingham as well were Micah works for Navtec

   
Deborah Loyless, Director of Children's Ministries
Deborah is in charge of everything dealing with children at FUMC.  She has a Communications degree from Reinhardt College in Waleska, GA and completed her certifcation in Christian Education.  She has been with the church since December of 2004. 
   
Joanne Freeman, Administrator
Joanne has been with the church since 2005. She is the mother of four wonderful children and is an FSU alumni.  Joanne is in charge of our office and makes sure everything runs smoothly.
   

Jeremy Dixon, Director of Youth Ministries

As one of the newest additions to our staff, Jeremy oversees any activity that involves youth in the 6th grade to 12th grade.  He has a degree from Florida State University.  His wife Andria is a guidance counselor at Port St. Joe Middle School.   

   

Ann Comforter, Director of Music Ministries

Ann is our part time director of music ministries.  She leads the Chancel Choir on Sunday mornings and also plays keyboard with the praise team at the contemporary service. 

In her spare time, she teaches piano, guitar, chorus and musical theatre at Port St. Joe High School.

She is married to Rocky Comforter and they have two children, Nicholas (Blacksburg, Virginia) and Julia (Tallahassee, Florida).
